New Roads. New Stories. One Unforgettable Race. IRONMAN 70.3 Laoag brings athletes to the newest course in the Philippine IRONMAN circuit, combining fast racing with the history and character of Laoag City. The 1.9km ocean swim begins at Sadiri Beach within Fort Ilocandia, taking athletes on a single clockwise loop before heading into transition. From there, the 90km bike course rolls out onto wide open roads, with mostly flat terrain and sections of rolling hills as athletes race north before returning to the city. The final 21.1km run is a flat, two-loop course through the streets of Laoag, passing key city landmarks before an unforgettable finish inside the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium. Fast, scenic and rich in local character, Laoag is ready to welcome athletes to a brand-new IRONMAN 70.3 experience.

Swim course

The swim will commence at Sadiri Beach, which is situated within the Fort Ilocandia perimeter. Participants will complete a single lap of the 1.9 km swim course in a clockwise direction. The swim will commence with a 150-meter swim, followed by a left turn at the first red buoy. Subsequently, participants will swim for 725 meters before making a right turn at the second red buoy. They will then swim for 65 meters, followed by another right turn and a 760-meter swim. The final turn will lead to the final 150 meters, which will direct participants towards the swim exit and to the transition area. Terrain:

Bike course

The bike course is a single lap 90 km course that will commence at transition 1, situated at Sadiri Beach. Follow the road exiting Fort Ilocandia Left on Laoag-Paoay Road Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto Rodolfo C. Fariñas Jr. Bypass Road and head towards Maharlika Highway Left on Maharlika Highway towards the municipality of Burgos Left on Pasuquin Bypass Road Left on Maharlika Highway Turnaround is at Km 48.9 (approx. 350m before Military Park Cape Bojeador) and head back towards Laoag City for transition 2 Right on Pasuquin Bypass Road Right on Rodolfo C. Fariñas Jr. Bypass Road Left on East F. Siason Road Straight towards Gomburza St Left on Hernando St. towards transition 2 located inside Ferdinand E. Run course

The RUN course is a 2-loop run course that will start at Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium. Participants will exit Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium and run along Gov. Roque B. Ablan St. towards JP Rizal St. Left on JP Rizal St and head towards the Provincial Capitol Bldg. Turnaround 1 is on the driveway of the Provincial Capitol Bldg. Head towards Siazon Rd. Left on Rodolfo C. Fariñas Jr. Bypass Road Turnaround 2 for is along Rodolfo C. Fariñas Jr. Bypass Road at Km 5.76. Participants will head back towards Siazon Road Right on Siazon Road Straight onto JP Rizal St towards Gov. Roque B. Ablan St. intersection Left on Gov. Roque B. Ablan St. and head towards Ferdinand E.
