Lake City Escape On race day, you and your crew will appreciate the centrally located single transition, perfect for high-fives and photo ops, while you take on the 1.2-mile swim in pristine Lake Coeur d’Alene, the 56-mile ride through challenging yet scenic Idaho terrain, and the 13.1-mile run past historic lakefront homes and boisterous spectators. Your last strides will be downhill toward the raucous, award-winning finish line.

The beautiful swim course at IRONMAN 70.3 Coeur d’Alene takes place in Lake Coeur d’Alene, a 50-square-mile freshwater lake in Northern Idaho. From the starting chute, athletes will swim 1.2 miles in a counter-clockwise direction, heading south and returning north, back to a centralized transition at Coeur d’Alene City Park.Bike course
After your swim in Lake Coeur d’Alene, you’ll tackle the 56-mile ride through challenging yet scenic Idaho terrain. This course takes you around the north and west sides of the lake, offering sparkling views, wide roads, and beautiful scenery. Your support crew will love to cheer you on from the hot corner near transition as you pass by 3 times before starting the run!Run course
The IRONMAN 70.3 Coeur d’Alene run course is a tour of historic homes, offbeat spectators, lakeside scenery, and so much more. After your bike, you’ll embark on a 13.1-mile run through historic neighborhoods and along Lake Coeur d’Alene. Spectators line this two-loop course, and you may even catch an earful of a live band as you run by. The run course culminates at an award-winning finish line in downtown Coeur d’Alene!
