The swim will be a rolling start. Athletes will enter the water in a continuous stream (Bonita Beach) through a controlled access point, similar to how running road races are started. An athlete’s times will start when they cross timing mats at the start line. Athletes will be directed to self-seed on race morning based on their projected swim time. Volunteers and staff will be in the staging area with signs and will assist with this process. Self-seeding will not be mandatory but will be encouraged.Bike course
Athletes will exit T1 and head towards the Merida Highway to start the bike course. Turning to the right (bridge) to get into the Malecon Ave. and then the two-loop, 56-mile (90 km) bike course will take athletes up and back along the Malecon Ave. & Merida Highway before dismounting.Run course
The three-loop flat and fast 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run course winds along the Campeche´s Marine Fountains, Malecon Ave. & Downtown. Athletes will be treated to a very spectator friendly run course before finishing at the Sea Gate.
